The wine trails were established in 1999 and regulated by national law 268, with the aim of promoting wine country and quality products. The trails wind past vineyards and wineries open to the public. Manoppello and its hinterland are part of the Tremonti and Valle Peligna Wine Trail, with the red trail starting in Pescara and skirting Via Tiburtina, touching Alanno, Scafa, Bolognano, Tocco da Casauria, Bussi, Capestrano, Ofena, Popoli, Corfinio, Vittorito, Raiano, and Vittorito. Along the way visitors will encounter vineyards of Montepulciano, Moscato Bianco, Bombino, Trebbiano Toscano and Malvasia. All the wineries here are of excellent repute and include names like Tenuta Arabona (in Manoppello), Marramiero, Zaccagnini, Valle Reale, Cataldi Madonna. The yellow trail (history and culture) offers exploration around Manoppello (Santa Maria Arabona and Basilica of the Holy Face) and other towns nearby.
